After each piece has been finished, we take the utmost care to pack it using tissue paper, packing peanuts, and the appropriate shipping boxes. This is the pieces that Jay enjoys making the most a hummingbird draws the biggest crowds at art shows. Once he pulls the beak, people start to realize what he's making and you can hear the murmurs build. Then Jay adds the tail and people ooh and aah as he flattens the ball of glass and creates feathers with pliers. The wings are the highlight, though, as he builds up each section.
